Asynchronous Spectra Art Lessons Begin September 20th

Next week, Spectra Art will be providing asynchronous art lessons to all PAUSD elementary students. The first few art lessons will incorporate materials that students already have at home. However, future lessons will include materials that will be distributed during a designated pick-up date at Greendell. We will send you a notification when the materials are ready for pick-up.

Parent Virtual Coffee on Thursday, 9/24 from 3:30-4:15 pm

Due to the upcoming Materials Distribution date on Friday, 9/25 from 2 pm- 4 pm, the Parent Virtual Coffee is now on Thursday, 9/24 from 3:30-4:15 pm.

During our time together, PAUSD Teacher-Librarians from a few of our elementary schools will talk briefly about how library instruction is provided to FDL students, demonstrate how students can request library books for checkout from their home school libraries, preview the brand new elementary ebook collection, and show other tools for online reading.

The remaining part of the Parent Coffee will answer questions that you have about the program. If you have questions, please complete the following Google Form ahead of time.

Need Help with Technology?

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher and/or fill out a "Let's Talk" support ticket located at www.pausd.org.

Last week, PAUSD presented two evening sessions for parents and guardians regarding using PAUSD tech. Topics included the ID Portal for families, IC, Schoology and Clever. Included below is the informational Slide Deck and the recording of the Zoom presentation if you were unable to attend.

Lunch Program

Many families are experiencing reduced income due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Should you be interested in free or reduced lunch, applications are below. More information can be found here.

Families that received free or reduced lunch during the 2019-2020 school year need to reapply by September 24, 2020, to avoid being charged for meals.

If your child is eligible for free and/or reduced-price meals, he/she may also be eligible for other school program benefits when fees or costs are involved. Please always feel free to contact Fiona Gersh (fgersh@pausd.org).

Reminder! Greendell for Attendance

The attendance email is greendellattendance@pausd.org. This is the best way for a parent to report an absence.

The office phone is (650) 856-0833. Voicemails left on this phone number will be forwarded to the Greendell office staff.

FDL What'sApp Group

One thing that came up at our Parent Coffee last Friday was a desire to create an FDL communication resource. Some of the families immediately created a WhatsApp FDL group. To join, please select the following link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/C8VDj4cbM79IA4PFZHTS4d

FDL on Facebook!

Another great way to meet other FDL families is by joining the parent sponsored FDL Facebook group called "FDL parents community." Contact Corinne Haböck at corinne.haboeck@swissonline.ch or for more information.
