It was another great week at Lenski! We hope you all enjoyed Wednesday’s Snow Day!
Many of our students participated in our annual Lenski Spelling Bee this past Tuesday. Congratulations to the following students:

Thank you to Mrs. Heissenbuttel for all of her work in preparing for this event and to Ms. Nixon, Mrs. Lambert, and Mrs. Knigge for volunteering to judge. And lastly, THANK YOU to all of our amazing parents that came to support our Superstars! It was such a fun event!

We have our monthly Lenski Accountability meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 1:30. Jonathan Levesque, Chief Financial Officer, will share a finance update for us. Please view our agenda here.
We will have some work done on our building this upcoming summer. As a result, Summer SAAC will be relocated to Peabody Elementary. Please view this letter for more details.
From the Counselors
January’s word of the month is Optimism. Optimism is a mental state or a mindset that believes that there is hope in the future. Having a hope in the future gives you confidence. During connection circles, students are sharing what they hope to get better at this year and sharing ways to stay optimistic. Here are some ways you can help your child develop an optimistic attitude:
Set an example - model how to learn from your mistakes and stay optimistic when something is difficult
See the best in each other - encourage your child and recognize their accomplishments. Help them to recognize their own successes and effort, too!
Focus on the day’s events that went well and the good things to look forward to each day.
