1ST AND 4TH GRADE BUDDIES
1st and 4th graders worked as buddies today to create turkeys and practice making groups of 10. It looks like they all had gobbles of fun!
On Halloween students read books in the dark utilizing flashlights.
Circulatory System
4th Graders Presented a Group Interpretation of The Circulatory System
This week students in 4th grade wrapped up their study of the LITERAL human heart. Throughout the past 3 weeks students have participated in numerous activities and discussions focused around what it means to have a GREAT literal heart. To do this, we utilized knowledge collected from "The Circulatory Story". Students wrapped up their understanding by participating in their first Socratic Seminar. During these seminars students in both classes practiced verbalizing their learnings and opinions in a structured "discussion" format. Mrs. Zoch has to say, they all did a great job with their first seminar! They should be proud.!! Furthermore, to wrap up our learning students were given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the literal heart by working together to construct one out of playdoh. This 4th grade experience was "heart stopping" fun!
