Courtship- Call or Song
By Jordan Rossman
Even though songs are shown to play an important role in a female mating choice, the importance of the other known mating choices are poorly understood. The call is a sound of acoustic structure such as squawk, cheep, peep, etc. A song is a long, sometimes melodious, series of musical notes.
