Actively Learn Workshop
Activate Your Learning
Workshop Description:
In a world full of fast, brief communication, getting students to slow down and read deeply is a worthy challenge.
By participating, you will learn more about what the learning science says behind impactful instructional practices, as well as Actively Learn, an online reading platform that lets you better activate, support and reveal student thinking while reading.
Starting with a discussion about the challenges around reading, participants will engage in a mock class in Actively Learn, exploring the features built into the platform. Based on participant interest, we will break out to focus on a few instructional practices that Actively Learn can help amplify. This will lead into common planning time with AEA support for teachers to begin to put action items into practice with their own curriculum on Actively Learn.
This workshop is for teachers of any subject or familiarity with Actively Learn, and is being jointly led by our Actively Learn School Success Manager, Steve Siden, in conjunction with the Digital Learning Team.

Platform Overview (reminder of ASR & platform approach)
