Prayer
"Father God, we thank you for these graduating students. We pray that you will give them direction, purpose, and perseverance as they enter the next phase of their lives. Give them clearness of mind to move forward into the plans and purposes that you have for them.
May these young people gain wisdom from you and have discernment for proper behavior. Raise up Christian mentors for these graduates so they have someone who holds them accountable for their actions.
We pray that they will rise above ungodly behaviors and have the boldness to stand up for what is right wherever they work, study, or socialize. Give them wisdom to spend their time and money wisely. Grant them success for their efforts at every turn and guide their feet to follow your ways.
May they be eager to do good and not evil all the days of their lives. Use them in might ways, Dear Father. In Jesus name, amen.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we come to the close of the school year, I first wish to congratulate our 8th graders for completing their elementary and junior high schooling. We had a wonderful dinner and awards evening last night at the Oyster Point Yacht Club. Thanks especially to Mr. Ceja for organizing the evening along with the 7th grade parents, Mrs. Juricic and Mrs. Alimorong.
Tonight we celebrate the graduation with Mass and we will be awarding the diplomas to students. I wish all the students best in their next stage of life as they pursue their high school ambitions.
Staffing Changes for the coming school year.
I wish all the best to Mrs. Pyun - Teacher Assistant, Mr. Ponce - Counselor, and Ms. Penalosa - Teacher Assistant, as they pursue their careers.
I wish to welcome Mrs. Allen and Miss Ruano as new teacher assistants, along with Ms. Mendoza as full-time learning support teacher. This will mean we will have two full-time teachers in the learning support department. We will be outsourcing our counseling services from the USF Counseling Department.
Reading over the Summer
It is important that our students continue with their reading, and I ask everyone to encourage your children to read at least an hour a day. Various homeroom teachers will be assigning summer work over the summer to supplement. Thanks for your cooperation with the continuing reading development of your children.
End of Year Financials:
I wish to remind those families who may be behind with tuition payments or other fees that these need to be paid by Thursday, June 7th. In the event these monies are not paid, we are unable to give out your child's report card and yearbook. It is important that all monies due are paid so that we have enough revenue to cover the summer payroll and for the establishment of new resources for the following year.
Tuition 2018 - 2019
Tuition for the new school year begins July 2018. Students are unable to start the new school year if there are any outstanding monies owed to the school. This means that July and August tuition will need to be up to date. All unpaid registration fees of $310 will be billed on to your TADS account. Once this occurs there will be a monthly-added late fee of $51.00 if not paid within the month. As of June 1st the registration fee is at $330.00. I am asking everyone to be fiscal responsible for their child's education.
In Conclusion
As the year comes to a close, I am happy it has been a wonderful year for all. The children have grown so much this year in many ways. They have learned so much from their teachers in so many different subjects. Many children have excelled with their studies, and I am so proud of them. While there have been some difficulties for some children we always have been able to work out the differences.
In the upcoming annual report you will read the many achievements of the students from the year. The annual report is available at the beginning of next school year.
Please have a safe and enjoyable summer.
God Bless,
Vincent Riener

Ms. J's Journal
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” - Chinese philosopher Laozi
We start out on many journeys in life, and each first step brings with it many possibilities. Along the way we start over many times taking a first step toward making new friends, moving to a new city, taking a new job, or facing any of the many choices that lead us on our personal paths. For most of us the first step of our elementary school journeys was Kindergarten. Our 8th graders took that first step nine years ago, and tonight at graduation that particular journey will end. They will soon start a new journey, into high school, with another first step. As they take that first step I offer them, and all of you, these words taken from a favorite poster in my office:
Today is the day. Live your life with abandon. Be good to yourself. Create happiness. Be courageous and wild at heart. Make friends everywhere you go. Believe in your own power, strength, and fortitude. Surround yourself with love. Take chances and be spontaneous. This is your life. Make it beautiful.
Happy Graduation 8th Grade! May your new journey be a beautiful adventure.
All the best,
Miss J
Thank you Letter
