Reflection Corner: The Gift of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As everyone across the United States celebrates the legacy of peace, justice, and unity of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., may we always promote brotherhood and sisterhood in the confinement of our home, classrooms, campus, and offices.

Prayer: Lord God, source of peace, we stand on the shoulders of giants who have sacrificed for the sake of the Gospel values. Grant us the grace to take responsibility to form our children according to your image of peace, justice and love. Give us a share of the spirit that guided Dr. King and others like him so that by our words and actions, may we become the face of Jesus in our time and place. We pray in His name. Amen.

January 27th Mass

While every school mass is a special celebration, our upcoming one on January 27th is particularly significant for our community. Second grader, Jasper Watts, is going to be baptized in the presence of the entire school. This is a great opportunity to get our students to have our students talk about and reinforce their understanding of the sacrament of baptism.

We will also come together in thanksgiving for the 27 years of dedicated service of Mary Lynne Hogan to Our Lady of Mercy School. She will be joining us for mass on that day.
