PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Roosevelt Parents/Guardians,
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the entire school community for your partnership and understanding. We are committed to providing a typical school experience as best we can.
Our teachers are going above and beyond to make these plans work for everyone. Just keep encouraging our teachers and staff to do their best under these circumstances.
Last month we celebrated Halloween with our outside classroom parties, and there was a very nice turnout for the evening PTO BOOsevelt event as well. Next week we will recognize Veterans Day on Wednesday, with an online assembly similar to last year.
Please have your child wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE next Wednesday, November 10 when we recognize Veterans Day. (Thursdays are SHIELD testing, so we had to schedule this on a different day).
Sincerely,
Dr. Dwyer, Principal

Roosevelt Coat Drive
We are collecting gently used children's coats and all winter gear, November 1- November 12.
The items will benefit the Ark of St Sabina in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Adult apparel will be accepted as well.
Please bring donations to the FRONT ENTRANCE (Door 5) of school and place it in the box for collections.

Reminder: Proper Masks for Students
Cloth masks should be ideally 3 layers, however, the CDC recommends at least 2 layers.
A quick rule of thumb is when you blow out your mouth with your mask on, you should not feel your breath or be able to blow out a candle.
If these masks do not meet that criteria, then COVID spread is more likely.
