Principal's Principle of the Month!
November 2019
Drive With Purpose!
Are you "purposeful" in seeking out and recognizing the gifts and talents of those on your team? Do you see talents within them that they don't see within themselves? How could pointing out these gifts and talented help empower and grow your team? Here are a few ways to do this during the month of November!
What is Your WHY?
Jon Gordon states that having a PURPOSE is the "ultimate fuel for a meaningful journey". There will be days that you feel overwhelmed, overworked, and exhausted. On those days and every day, don't lose sight of your vision and your WHY. Why are you in this position? Why is it important to you? What impact do you hope to make?
To help you keep focus of your WHY, sketch it out! You can use the template below and write your WHY in the letters or sketch out your own why! Then, post it nearby so you can see it daily.
Time for Talents Thursday!
Have you ever discovered a hidden talent that your team member possesses? Did it surprise you? Often times, we have gifts and talents that we aren't using. Use this activity to have fun with your team!
Energy Bus Community Scavenger Hunt!
With any team building, talents are certain to come out! Assign teams of 4-5 before a faculty meeting. Teams will be challenged with going out into the community to demonstrate each of the 7 Energy Bus principles. They must document each principle before returning! The first team to return, with correct documentation (picture or video) will receive a reward of your choice.

Celebrating Success!
Encourage your teachers, parents, and students to recognize those around them who are having success. Share these with the school campus during morning or afternoon announcements. You can use the following fuel up slips to recognize another!
