Full of heart, full of truth, Wonder is a book about seeing the beauty that's all around us. I dare you not to fall in love with August Pullman." -Rebecca Stead, Newbery Medal-winning author of When You Reach Me
August is ten years old, but hes not a normal ten year old. August has a rare facial problem, and because of it a lot of people are scared of him.
Summer is one of Augusts' best friends. At first no one wanted to even go by August, but summer decided on the first day of school to be nice and hang out with August. August and Summer end up becoming great friends.
Whenever August got upset his dad-Mr. Pullman was always there for him. He was always able to make August laugh, and support August.
He probably wrote this book to teach us that if you're nice you can really help and affect others feelings. He also taught us not to judge people by their looks.
What was the best part of the novel? Focus on a particular chapter, scene, or interaction between characters. Explain completely.
The best part was when August was at the camp with his class, and while they were watching a movie they left to go to the woods, and then a group of people were really mean to August, but people from his school started standing up for him.
