In the beginning...
Born in Oak Park, Illinois on July 21, 1899, Ernest Hemingway is a famous author in American history. His parents were Clarence and Grace Hemingway, two very well-educated people. Ernest went to high school at Oak Park and River Forest High School from 1913 to 1917 and his first job was with a local newspaper. In high school, he enjoyed several sports including boxing, track and field, and football.
