Tech Tip #2
Lightning tutorials to get you going!
Organizing Your Files
When you open Windows Explorer to view your files such as documents, pictures, videos, or music, you may find the need to move them around to different locations. You select the file and drag it to the new location; however, you see it as a copy of the file. Yikes! I didn't want a duplicate of the file, I wanted to move it completely. So how do you do this? Keyboard Shortcuts
When you have your Windows Explorer open, you can view all your files. If you use the drag and drop method, you can also add the keyboard shortcut to provide more specific directions. These options work for any action of movement; however, you will see 'moving' as the default action when trying to move a file within the same location and 'copying' when dragging to another drive.
