Well this week those that believe in what the Phil has to say will find out if they will enjoy 6 more weeks of winter or if they can look forward to an early spring. During 3rd grade story time we will continue to read January's Sparrow by Patricia Polacco. We will be reading How Groundhog's Garden Grew by Lynn Cherry during 2nd grade story time. We will be reading Double Trouble Groundhog Day by Bethany Roberts during 1st grade story time. We will be reading A Garden for Groundhog by Lorna Balian during kindergarten story time

On Friday we will see:
3rd Grade Edwards and Bent - We are continuing our genre study. We will continue mystery genre. We will find elements in a mystery book that help us know that a book fits into the mystery genre.
2nd Grade Swihart and Mick - We will complete our lesson on call numbers. The students will find the shelf and the specific spot on the shelf where they belong if they were an author.
1st grade Hays and Carr - We will learn how to use the resources in a nonfiction book to help us find what we need for special projects.
Kindergarten Schmitz and Richter - We will learn what elements in a book help us know if the book is a Fiction book. Fiction will be our new vocabulary word.

We will see Mrs. Williams/Mrs. Wuthrich's and Mr. Edward's classes on Tuesday and we will see Mrs. Pfizenmaier's and Mrs. Deines' classes on Thursday for library lessons.
The 4th graders - We will present what we discovered while doing our scavenger hunt.
The 5th graders will check their Dewey Dare Devil shelf, they will work on their shelf poster to demonstrate what a reader might find on their shelf and work on their script to discuss what they will find on their shelf.

I will be at the middle school half days Monday through Thursday. Tuesday and Thursday I will be at CCCMS in the afternoon. Monday and Wednesday I will be at CCCMS in the morning. Our library assistant, Tasha Siemers, will be here Monday through Wednesday and Friday morning.
On Tuesday Mrs. Hallberg will be in the library for checkout during 6th hour. On Wednesday Mr. Yenni will be in the library 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th hours for checkout.
During 8th hour on the following days, Monday (Mrs. Blake), Tuesday (Mrs. Hallberg), Wednesday (Mrs. Yenni), Thursday (Mrs. C. Roth) the 6th grade language arts classes will be in the library for checkout.
