Marching Uniform Care - Dry Cleaning
Have you checked your child's uniform yet? Is it dirty, does it smell bad, or does it look like it needs freshening up?
Heritage Cleaners in downtown Marshall is where our uniforms go to get dry cleaned. If you need to have your child's uniform dry-cleaned and cannot afford the cost, please contact Mr. Root.
Disney Trip Information - IMPORTANT!!!
Luggage Drop Off - Friday, November 17
ALL luggage (suitcase and carryon), Uniforms, and Instruments MUST be checked in at MHS on the evening of Friday, November 17 between 6pm - 8pm in the MHS Auditorium.
Band students should make sure to bring
- Garment bag
- Marching Uniform (including black socks, black marching shoes, tie-dye shirt, hat and hat box)
- Instrument and all instrument supplies (reeds, valve oil, etc)
Please enter through the backstage entrance. Students will
- Proceed through check in where they will show us all uniform parts and instruments
- Tag each of their bags
- Put their bags in the proper area arranged by the bus that they are on
Once your child has placed their bags, garment bag, and instrument in their appropriate area, they are free to go. Adult chaperones will be searching all bags prior to trip departure. Please reinforce that your child should not bring anything on this trip that would violate school policy (drugs, alcohol, vapes, etc)
The only items that we do not need to see on Friday night are
- Cell phone
- Phone charger
- Toiletries that are needed on Saturday morning
- Pillow and blanket for bus ride
Forms and Meds
Permission slips were due one week ago. Med forms and Med Authorization forms are due today.
All medication going on the trip must be dropped off to the band office by this Thursday to make sure that we have time to get organized on our end. Meds should be in the original packaging with the student's name on it. It is very helpful if meds come in a ziplock bag with your child's name written on it.

Christmas Parade
The 2023 Marshall Christmas Parade is on Monday, November 27 at 7:00pm. Call time for HS Band members is 6:30p at the Redfield Plaza (by Save-A-Lot). This is a required performance for all HS Band members.
Uniform for the parade is our normal marching band uniform except we wear santa hats instead of marching band hats.
Students are encouraged to wear festive lights and things like that. Please keep in mind that school instruments CANNOT be decorated so that they don't get scratched/dented.
Pickup following the parade will be in the Marshall Middle School parking lot.
MHS Bands Holiday Concert
The MHS Bands Holiday Concert will be on Monday, December 11 at 7pm in the MHS Auditorium. Please plan to attend and invite friends and family!
