Team Titus Minutes and Updates

November 16th

Today's Meeting

*Janie leads us in prayer time.

*Discussion continues about images on candidates website. Bring it up now or in person if we goes on to next step.

*Decision made to not beat around the bush, and directly ask in face-to-face interview should NW go on.

Questions and responses for NW interview:

*Tell us about your family. (Chris asks) Methodist church, Raleigh, lots of traveling, only heard hymns growing up. Got married June first of this year. Learning!

To what extent is your family involved in your ministry? (Melissa asks) Grier is a big help, as a teacher (teaching the Bible). Never been a pastor’s wife J

What do you and your family enjoy doing together? (Janie asks) Outdoors, camping, canoeing, hiking, board games (Grier), reading, cooking, dogs, home people!

Tell us about your feelings about working with another pastor? (Adam asks) *Having more than one pastor is helpful (if church can swing it), one can not provide the full spectrum of what people need. Ministry of the early Church—having multiple views and angles to scripture to enrich the church, but also the pastoral ministry. Collaboration in the Gospel shows unity. EXCITING

What preachers do you respect/listen to? (Susan asks) John Piper, learned about SIN. Taught through doctrines of reformation. Paul W? Associated with John Piper. Was a missionary in Peru. Other than that skips around. Had to listen to pastors from all walks of life.

How do you allot your time among pastoral ministries? (Kim asks) Depends on requirements of week. 5 to 10 hours per week meaning with people. Think about 1 on 1 or small group time along with group times. Having people over to his home. Placing time into sermons, when time arises. Soaking sermons in prayer. Being able to roll with the punches. Flexibility is key. Time to study the Bible and put study materials together. Family—Grier knows she married a pastor and understands time requirement. Proponent of taking one day a week for family. (likes Tuesdays). 8:00pm, family time.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know? (Chris asks) Calling-preaching and teaching. Gifts-a shepherd and leading

Are you comfortable with us calling your references and former congregations/churches? If not why?

*Nate-Some of us may come to here you preach. When is your next Sunday? Gastonia, linwood rd.

Do you have any questions for us?

Will get references from NW.
