Dewey Carter Elementary Weekly Update
From Mrs. Frazier's Desk
I hope that everyone has had a wonderful spring break, it is hard to believe it is over already! Monday we will welcome all Face to Face students back 5 days a week, and we will also be welcoming several students back from our Virtual Academy who will be joining us face to face. We ask that you take a minute to read our health and safety guidelines at the bottom of the page, as well as remember to send your student with a mask, as they are required both on the bus and in school. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Next week, on April 19th and 20th, our 3rd-6th grade students will be taking the Linkit! Math and Linkit! ELA assessments. These assessments help our teachers determine what our students' strengths and weaknesses are on grade level content material. Teachers will use this information to determine what topics and skills needed to be focused on in the coming weeks to not only prepare our students for state SC Ready testing, but to also prepare students for the next grade level. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their best on these assessments, it is their time to shine!
Report Cards will also be distributed this week. Report cards will be mailed to parents (to the email on file in PowerSchool) on April 14th, and will be mailed to the address listed in Power School on April 15th. If you have questions or concerns about your child's report card please contact your child's teacher.
