PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As the school year comes to a close, I wanted to extend my gratitude to all of you for your continuous support and involvement in our school community. It has been a fantastic year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments.
I also want to extend my warmest congratulations to our remarkable 5th graders who are moving on to Altona. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of your accomplishments.
Lastly, I would like to express how delightful it was to see so many families at our family picnic and outdoor musical performance today. The picnic is an Eagle Crest tradition, and it was fun to add a musical element with all of our wonderful student musicians. Events like this bring us all closer together, fostering a strong sense of unity and joy.
Wishing you all a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer vacation. Take this time to recharge and create beautiful memories with your loved ones. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall, ready for another amazing year.
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENTS' MESSAGE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This has been a fantastic school year! As I look back through our Twitter and Facebook feeds, there is much to celebrate and many memorable experiences we shared. I feel very fortunate to spend each day with your children, helping them learn and grow into leaders. We cannot wait to see what the 2023-2024 school year will bring! I hope you have a wonderful Summer Break!
Here are some important logistical details for the summer:

If your family is moving over the summer or will be making changes to any of your contact information, please let us know! Throughout the summer we will be preparing for the new school year and sending important updates via this newsletter. Please email any changes to our Registrar, Dinah Sherwood at: sherwood_dinah@svvsd.org.

EAGLE CREST ROBOTICS PROGRAMMING
It was fun to welcome second and fourth graders to the Robotics Lab with their families on Monday! Families were given a preview of the VEX robots that all 3rd and 5th graders will be building next year in Robotics. We also had some 5th graders helping connect and troubleshoot robots. This program, called WeBot, is for all students in 3rd and 5th grades and will take place during the school day. Each class will have a series of weekly sessions to build a robot with their team, and then the robots will be disassembled for the next class to have a turn. As the program evolves, and next year’s 3rd graders move into 5th grade, they will have a different robotics activity that builds on their earlier experience. The competitive robotics team will continue to be after school and is an extracurricular opportunity for 4th and 5th graders.

Thank you for helping get the books back to the library for all our students to enjoy!

JOB OPPORTUNITY - CAMPUS SUPERVISOR
The safety of our school environments has always been a top priority in St. Vrain Valley Schools. As the district continues to invest in security upgrades, mental health resources, counselors, and other supports to ensure the well-being and success of our students, we are excited to share that a new Campus Supervisor position will be provided to all elementary schools in the district.
Currently at all middle and high schools in St. Vrain, Campus Supervisors promote safe and secure learning environments for students by providing an additional layer of facility monitoring, oversight, and communication regarding any potential risks or safety concerns. These roles also play an important part in fostering a positive building environment by building relationships with students and serving as another trusted adult in the building.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying to be Eagle Crest’s Campus Supervisor, a job description and application can be accessed here: https://www.applitrack.com/stvrain/onlineapp/default.aspx?Category=Security.
