March Newsletter
Principal's Newsletter Message 2022-2023
Dear I.M.S. Family,
It is hard to believe that it is already March. We just completed mid-term exams and Progress Monitoring Assessments and...spring break is coming soon! Time flies quickly and it is critical for all students to stay focused this semester on their academic achievement, as well as attendance and behavior.
I want to thank our teachers, counselors, support staff, administrators, and testing coordinator for ensuring that all students are provided every opportunity to succeed. Should parents have any questions concerning their child’s academic performance, please contact their guidance counselor and/or Assistant Principal for Curriculum & Instruction.
As we move forward this 2nd semester of the school year, it is critical for ALL students to continue to work hard academically, but remember, attendance and good behavior are also essential for success. Upon reflecting on this school year, our teachers, staff, coaches, and students have overcome a number of challenges and achieved numerous accomplishments.
Soon, we will begin scheduling for next school year. I want to remind you that our academic programs, career academies, elective courses, activities, athletics, and clubs are a shining example of what it means to be an I.M.S. Indian. Respect, self-leadership, hard work, dedication, and teamwork are some of the characteristics which have created a tradition of high achievement and success at Immokalee Middle. Additionally, we want to enhance our great school culture & climate by encouraging parents to be involved in their child’s education. You can accomplish this by making sure your son/daughter attends school daily, completes their school work, makes good choices, and follows the code of student conduct.
Please know that we at Immokalee Middle School want to work with our students and parents to maintain a safe learning environment and provide the best education possible. I invite you to join us as a volunteer, fan, and/or corporate sponsor for any of our many activities and programs. Please visit our web-site http://collierschools.com/ims to learn more about our school, our staff, and the many programs we offer. You can also follow us on Facebook @ccpsimmokaleemiddle.
Thank you and join us as we continue to build our traditions in the spirit of “IMS Tribe.”
Respectfully,
Jose L. Hernandez, Principal
