Santa Claus Parade - Saturday December 1 - City Hall Area

The Santa Claus Parade theme this year is "Super Heros". With our Sick Kids Fundraiser the same day, a few of us felt that our Super Heros could be different than the many Marvel characters we know of. So, Move N' Grooove (with permission) has asked Neave Alderson & Anisa Elder to be our super heros and the slogan/theme is "Not all Super Heros wear capes." We have an amazing vision for our float, and we hope you enjoy it!

  • 4:45 p.m. start time at City Hall area, but I will not know much more detail until the safety meeting on Novmeber 24, so I ask for your patience.
  • wear lots of warm layers (weather depending) and your outer layer NEEDS TO BE MNG WEAR. Please borrow our new MNG jackets from last season or MNG sweaters from this season.
  • Solid black bottoms as well.
  • Black toque/hats and black mitts if at all possible; we want to try and be uniform.
  • Some dancers will be on the float and some will be off the float doing traveling movements; please watch Vimeo over the next few weeks to pick up the basic steps.
  • If you are in the parade (meaning if you have signed up), you need to be waving a lot, saying hello to people and of course wishing people a Merry Christmas! You need to be "up" the whole time!
  • I am guessing pick up will be down at the Memorial Centre, but until I have been informed at the safety meeting, I cannot be sure.
  • At the end of parade, please understand that I will be leaving IMMEDIATELY to get back to the hall for the evening portion of our fundraiser. Please do your best to pick up your dancer quickly. There will be senior students with them until you arrive.
