I wanted to share that we again reported three additional cases of COVID-19 involving members of our school community to the Florida Department of Health. As you already know If necessary, the Department of Health will contact families of students who need to stay home. Be aware that COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea and other flu-like symptoms.

Operation Masks Saves Lives
As you all may know, we are re-introducing face masks for students and staff as one of our strategies to fight COVID-19 and safeguard the health of our school community.
This is a reminder that this face mask requirement will go into effect next Tuesday, Sept. 7 and will be in place for 90 days. Again, face masks for all students and staff will be required on all district campuses and district-provided transportation beginning next Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
Families who would like to opt their student out of the face mask requirement must provide the school with a medical opt-out form. If there is no medical opt-out form in place and a child forgets to bring their mask, schools are prepared to provide a disposable mask to use for the day.
We encourage you to visit www.duvalschools.org/facemask for more information. Again, please visit www.duvalschools.org/facemask for information about the mask requirement, which will go into effect next Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
