Catholic Education Foundation for Tuition Assistance
As we begin a new year, I want to encourage each of you to invite more families to join the Catholic school experience than ever before. Last year with your encouragement and with the help of the CEF we were able to achieve record-breaking enrollment. We have not stopped growing and with your help we expect our enrollment to once again grow in 2017. To any family who yearns for a Catholic education for their children but cannot afford it, The Answer is YES!
The 2017-18 FACTs management application is available online at www.ceflou.org. This is the only way to apply for aid this year. The completed application, along with the $25 fee, should be submitted on or before March 15, 2017.
We are sending an instructional flyer to every St. Paul family. Asking for tuition assistance is a very private family decision. Often families who are experiencing difficulty are reluctant to take the steps needed to request assistance but let me assure you if this is the case the answer will be “Yes” to assistance.
For the past two years, every single family who applied to the Catholic Education Foundation for tuition assistance – and demonstrated a financial need – earned an award, 100%! Last year with the help of the CEF, need-based to tuition discounts, archdiocese voucher fund and school choice St. Paul families were awarded $204,256 in assistance!
Instead of talking yourself out of a Catholic education for your children, shouldn’t you consider reaching out to the Catholic Education Foundation and provide a better path for both your children and your family?
- NOW IS THE TIME for more families to join our storied Catholic school community with 106 years of tradition.

Student Council News
Penny War-Christmas 2016
Throughout the week, the school had a Change War! Each class had 2 buckets outside their classroom; one for silver change and the other for pennies. Silver helped each class add up to collect the most money, but pennies were deducted from each class total.
Classes were allowed add pennies to other class buckets in order to decrease their totals. Totals can be seen below,
The class with the highest total earned either a donut, ice cream, or pizza party.
All money brought in will go to United Cerebral Palsy Foundation to help children with cerebral palsy. We chose this foundation in honor of Olivia Breanne Wathen, a special needs sister of 8th grader Abigail Toebbe, who passed away in October.
Congratulations 4th Grade!
8th-Grade Bake Sale - 1/12
The 8th grade will have a bake sale this Thursday, January 12th. Please send in money with your child or donate a baked good.

Painting Magic Today!!
Great First Day Back!
It was a great first day back! Mrs. Lanham and I were so glad to see our little friends today. We really got down to the grind and worked hard today! We worked on how to show numbers that are bigger than 10 on a ten frame, and we also wrote sight word sentences in our writing journals. We also worked on to our counting to 100 exercises. We had a very busy day, and the students worked so hard they got an M&M treat! Very proud of our class on a tough day - the first day back is always tough, but these kiddos were ready to work! It also makes my heart happy when you hear that some of the kiddos were counting the days to come back to school! Love my little class!
