A Message from Mrs. Fantaskey

Spring Break is Upon Us!

What a wonderful way to begin our short week before our Spring Break...not a cloud in the sky with the sun shining brightly and some warmer temperatures. This morning, on my commute, I looked up in the sky to see a beautiful hot air balloon nestled in a neighborhood ~ I had to pull over and capture the moment...yet, another sign of spring and warmer temperatures are coming.

As we approach and celebrate the spring holidays, I wish all of our Doyle families who are celebrating, a very Happy Easter, Happy Passover, & Happy Ramadan. May you enjoy the time with your family and friends.

~Mrs. Fantaskey

This week...

Move It Outside Day is Wednesday, April 13th. Don't forget to wear your Soaring Eagle TEAM Doyle shirts and sneakers, as we take some time away from screens, log-off, and get outside for some physical activity!

Dining for Doyle - Chipotle is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th1 Enjoy some dinner and support the Doyle DHSA, too!

Volunteers & Clearances - Please see the information below to follow the process for applying for your clearances. This information is in our newsletter each week as a friendly reminder to anyone who is interested in volunteering here at Doyle. This week, we moved it to the top of the newsletter (typically under Resources for Families)

Field Day T-shirts - Be sure to complete the google form with your child's name, shirt color, and size for their free T-shirt, compliments of our DHSA this year.

Move It Outside Day

On Wednesday, April 13th, Doyle students will celebrate Move it Outside Day. This day encourages students to turn off the TV and spend time outside. Alternatives to "screen time" will be discussed in morning meetings. We appreciate your support on the home front. Please encourage your child(ren) to wear their TEAM DOYLE t-shirt and sneakers as they will be participating in outdoor physical activity stations led by our sixth-grade students. Thank you!

Clearances for Classroom Volunteers and Chaperones

Just a friendly reminder that all classroom volunteers and field trip and/or party chaperones need to have clearances on file!

If your clearances have expired or if you need to begin the clearance process, simply click on the link below.

Driving in the School Zone

Just a friendly reminder to parents, staff, and our community members to please pay close attention to your speed in the school zone. The CBRPD often monitors the area during our arrival and dismissal times, to ensure that traffic is at a safe speed for our students who are arriving and dismissing from school via buses, cars, walkers, etc. Thank you for your assistance in helping to promote traffic safety near our school.

Field Day Teams & T-shirts

This week, students are learning their teams for our annual Field Day that will take place on June 1, 2022. Why so early, you might ask??

New this year....

Our DHSA will be purchasing T-shirts for all students to wear for field day, either blue or white.

Please use the Google form link below to submit your child's shirt size & field day team color so the order can be placed later in April.

Earth Day Activity

Happy April! As many of you know, April 22nd is Earth Day, a great day to remember the importance of taking care of our planet by recycling, limiting pollution, and planting trees! In an effort to do our part as a Doyle community, there will be two recycling collection bins placed inside the front door and inside the Doyle cafeteria. We are encouraging families to send in their plastic grocery bags and empty applesauce pouches so members of the Doyle Garden Committee can recycle them properly. Thank you for sending these items in during the month of April so we can do our part to help the earth!
