From the Principal’s Desk

Greetings Shiloh Families,

We are committed to consistently providing our scholars with high quality instruction in a safe and nurturing environment. I have asked your scholar to develop one goal for this semester. I would like for you to partner with me by asking them to develop one additional goal. They should have one academic and one personal goal that they would like to achieve this semester. We will share in supporting them in reaching their goals. Speaking of goals, we want to actively involve our families through engaging activities throughout the school year. Thus, this upcoming week, we invite you to come out and cheer on our Shiloh JR. Generals Volleyball Team as they will play here at home against the Dacula Jr. Falcons on Wednesday, August 18 at 6:00 PM, and to also participate in our first Skate Night event sponsored by our All Pro Dads on Friday, August 20, 2021. There is also an opportunity for interested parents and guardians to fill vacancies for our local School Council.

We value your input, suggestions, and continued support. In the upcoming weeks, we will begin to share information about our first “Meet the Principal”, Title I Annual Parent Meeting, and our Thursday Tech Series workshops. These parent meetings and/or workshops will be designed to help you to continue to support your scholar's progress as it relates to their academic, behavior, and/or attendance performance.

We hope that you and your families continue to remain safe and well.

Have a wonderful and restful weekend!

Your Extremely Proud Principal,

Dr. Shantí Howard

Shiloh Middle School Council Parent Representative Vacancies

School councils are policy-level advisory bodies to the Principal, Superintendent, and local board of education. They may advise and make recommendations on any matter related to school improvement and student achievement. The purpose of school councils is to “bring communities and schools closer together in a spirit of cooperation to solve difficult education problems, improve academic achievement, provide support for teachers and administrators, and bring parents into the school-based decision-making process."

We currently have several parent representative vacancies to fill. If you are interested in serving on the Shiloh Middle School's Council, please email Mrs. Fletcher (Parent Instructional Coordinator) at on or before Friday, August 20, 2021 with SMS Parent Representative Council in the Subject line and also include your best contact number.

Thank You!
