Principal Message

Dear Lane Families,

As we all changed our clocks this weekend, we are hopefully thinking spring is around the corner. We all know that it takes a bit to adjust to the change in time, however continue to arrive to school on time and remind your son/daughter that attendance to school matters. There is a direct correlation between attendance and academic success.

Just a reminder that our Forward Testing will start March 19th.

The Forward Exam tests all students in the areas of reading and math and select grade levels in science and social studies. One or more subtests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.

In addition, we are planning events as we move into 4th quarter. We are creating opportunities to increase family engagement; we are building and improving our classroom libraries to increase access to literacy; and we continue to build the sense of belonging by working with the Peace Center.
