School Updates

Dear Evergreen Eagles,

As we end another school year, I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to all of you for your contributions to making this year a success. Our students have accomplished so much, our teachers and support staff have worked tirelessly to provide exceptional education, and our parents and community have been instrumental in creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

We have come together as a community and demonstrated what it means to be Evergreen Eagles. I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, who have gone above and beyond to provide our students with the best education possible and support them in all aspects of their lives. They have indeed embodied the spirit of our school community, and I am honored to work alongside them.

I also want to thank our parents and community for your unwavering support and commitment to your children's education. Whether through volunteering, fundraising, or simply being present and engaged in your child's learning, your contributions have been invaluable to our success.

As we look ahead to the summer break and the next school year, I am filled with hope and excitement for all we will accomplish together. I am grateful to be part of this amazing community and look forward to continuing our journey together.

Thank you again for an amazing school year. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to our school and students are appreciated.

Respectfully,

Dr. Cardenas

Message from Mona Hwang, ECC President

Hello Evergreen families!

We’ve reached the end of another great school year. Thank you to all the families who contributed to the Community Club throughout the year with your talents, time and donations.

With your donations, we were able to purchase monitors to replace to projectors and Chromebooks for as many students and classrooms as possible and are continuing to keep the school up to date with their technology needs. We were able to provide field trip admissions and transportation for all the students, help in the production of classroom materials by maintaining the equipment in the workroom, and provide technology subscriptions, library books, classroom supplies and so much more!

With your time and talents, we were able to put on fun events and fundraisers including Family Fun Night, movie nights, Talent Show, restaurant fundraisers, the Fun Run event and the In-N-Out lunch tour. Community Club is 100% volunteer run and we could not do all this without the support of the volunteers.

We were also able to help our Evergreen families in need through our Annual Food and Toy Drive.

If you are interested in helping in Community Club next year, you can sign up here or look for sign ups at the beginning of the next school year. If you are not sure where you would like to sign up just yet, you can put your name down under “Volunteers” at the bottom and someone will reach out to you next year.

2023/24 ECC Board Members & Committees

Evergreen Community Club is a parent-teacher organization (similar to a PTA or PTO) to support Evergreen Elementary School. We are 100% volunteer based and help raise funds for technology products, educational programs, assemblies, library books, classroom materials and supplies, playground equipment and so much more! We have a lot of opportunities to lead or assist with activities throughout the school year to help enhance the learning experience for all students. We have opportunities for people with different strengths, skills and interests and different ways to get involved that work around your schedule. Take a look at the committees below to find one that fits your interests. More information is available on the school website under "Parents - Community Club." The Board Member sign up is for volunteers willing to lead/coordinate each event. Most events require only 1 person to lead but sometimes it's fun to coordinate with a friend. It has been a joy and privilege to serve as your Community Club President these last 6 years. I’m so grateful for the support of Principal Cardenas, Mrs. Jones and all the staff and teachers at Evergreen over the years for all our events. I hope to see many of you in Middle School and beyond!

I hope you and your families have a wonderful and memorable summer break.

Best regards,

Mona Hwang
