Academic Excellence and Achievement Every Scholar, Every Class, Every Day!
Greetings Mighty Bulldogs,
We are committed to enhancing the home-school partnership. Please plan to join me at our 1st monthly Coffee and Conversation (see flyer below) where you will be able to ask questions and receive immediate responses (honest and transparent--even if that means we don't have the answer just yet). We will also provide updated information from our PTA soon.
Thank you to those who took time to complete the Emergency Contact Form (click link below) which was due by Friday, September 25th. Scholars will receive 5 Dojo points when form is completed. If you have not completed the form yet, please take 2 mins to complete the form today. https://forms.gle/Ak6qhXVGUi8c3mFRA
Thank you all who took some time to review internet safety with your scholars. PGCPS has a wealth of resources centered around online safety for scholars. You can access these resources by clicking the link. https://www.pgcps.org/internet-safety/ If you haven't done so yet, please carve out some time to do so.
Parent/Scholar/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020. You should receive information from the teachers to sign-up for an appointment using sign-up genius (more information forthcoming). Should you have any questions about the Parent/Scholar/Teacher Conference sign-up process, please reach out to the homeroom teacher.
Starting in October, we will be hosting a variety of activities to engage our scholars in some of the fun activities we normally have during the school year like Red Ribbon Week, National Hispanic Heritage Month and Bully Prevention to name a few. Also, our first PBIS activity will be held on October 9, 2020--information should have been shared by the classroom teachers on Dojo (criteria/number of points needed to attend the scheduled event). We are very excited to be able to continue implementing PBIS virtually--make sure to review the PBIS Matrix posted by the homeroom teachers.
In conclusion, I want you to reread the quote by Bob Beauprez listed above and jot down a few ways that you see the ideals from the above quote being completed each day. The quote reiterates what we believe here at Brandywine Elementary School--that we must come together and move on one accord to ensure that our scholars are successful. I thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our scholars!
We are ONE School, ONE Team, Making a Difference!
Have a great week.
~Principal Hunter-Blake~

The Mighty Bulldogs Afterschool Academy
Please see below a post from our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Grant.
At the end of last school year, we had several parents express interest in volunteering to co-lead an after school club. Awesomeness!!!
If your schedule permits, please consider co-leading an after school club for our Mighty Bulldog scholars by completing the form below.

Distance Learning Handbook
The purpose of this handbook is to compile, in one place, the policies, procedures and forms that will enable Brandywine Elementary scholars to successfully fulfill his/her responsibilities during Virtual Learning. It has been prepared with the sincere hope that it will be used as a ready reference by families with concerns related to classroom procedures, administration policies and organization norms.
Suggestions on how to become better acquainted with your scholar(s), how to learn about school routines and procedures, and how to secure professional help are included.
The adopted policies are subject to modification, as situations require. The need may arise for revision of this handbook. Feel free to offer suggestions. It is only through cooperative efforts of everyone concerned that we hope to create a wholesome atmosphere/environment for all.
