OPTIONAL Parent/Teacher Winter Conferences

Washington Families,

An email was sent out last week with a reminder that there are only two evening dates planned on the calendar for parent teacher conferences. As a result, teachers are limited to how many families they can meet with over the two evenings. As was the case last year, our winter conferences will be scheduled on a teacher or parent request basis as there are only two evenings scheduled for conferences. Parents should not feel as if these conferences are mandatory, especially as teachers will not be able to meet with all families on these two evenings.

All families should have already received further information about this from you child's teacher. If you do not believe a conference is needed at this time, there is no further action required. If you are requesting a conference at this time, you can follow your child's teacher's directions on how to schedule a conference.

Thank you,

Mr. Russell

Please read the following letter for reminders about head lice. (Letter)

The Wauwatosa School District recently implemented new guidelines for when to keep your child home from school. For more information, click here.

Please read the parking reminders for drop-off and dismissal below:

  • Do not park where you see orange traffic cones

  • Only use the three (15 minute) parking spots at the corner of 68th Street/Garfield Avenue. Cars should NEVER be parked or stopped on the East side of 68th street near the front door.

  • DO NOT turn around in our neighbors' driveways. Be patient and go around the block.

  • IF you are using the hug and go on 67th street, do not leave your car. Stay in your car and a staff member will call down your child.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Cold Weather Reminder

Just a reminder to send your child(ren) with a coat, gloves, hat, snow pants and boots everyday. Please have all items labeled with your child's name including their boots. The only time we have indoor recess is if the temperature or wind chill is below 0 degrees or it is raining outside.
