Changes for 2023-2024 at Gililland Elementary

We are very sad to say good-bye to our current Assistant Principal, Adriana Cardona. Ms. Cardona has served our school as the Assistant Principal for the past few years. She has been named the new assistant principal at Eagle Mountain Elementary. We wish her the best of luck in her new position and will miss her dearly.

Welcome Natalie Sims as the new assistant principal at Gililland Elementary School, starting July 1. Mrs. Sims will be taking the place of Adriana Cardona who has been named as the assistant principal at Eagle Mountain Elementary.

Mrs. Sims has been a part of the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD community for over 15 years as both a parent and an educator. Throughout her career in education, she has had an opportunity to serve alongside incredible coworkers in various roles including elementary teacher, literacy intervention specialist, and instructional coach.

Mrs. Sims received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern Adventist University. She went on to obtain her master’s degree in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction as well as completed the Principal Certification Master’s Program at The University of Texas at Arlington.

In free time, she enjoys kayaking and hiking with her husband, four boys, and extended family.
