The Colony of Delaware

Religion
Delaware had a very different form of religious tolerance then, say, Massachusetts. Delaware had no main religion, and it opened up to religious freedom for many religions. In Massachusetts, people were mainly Puritan, and they did not promote religious freedom.
Resources
Delaware was a "bread basket colony", but it also made BIG money from iron. This is different than a southern colony like Maryland, that mainly profited from tobacco and cattle. Delaware exported lots of wheat and iron to England.
Climate
Delaware was a middle colony, so the climate there was relatively mild, which allowed colonists to farm. This is in contrast to New Hampshire, which has frigid winters and a relatively cool climate year-round.
Life
Life in the Delaware colony mainly comprised of farming and agriculture. The colonists were allowed to worship freely, and the children were taught by the parents.
Government
A Shared Government
The government of this colony was shared with Pennsylvania. They shared the same legislative assembly. They were allowed to have a separate legislative assembly starting in 1701, and in 1776 Delaware was declared separate from Pennsylvania. The government was made of two assemblies and was similar to the other colonies, and allowed the colony to have FULL self rule.
