Principal's Message
Sabre families,
Here we go, the final week of October.
From a blustery and cold day on Saturday to just a spectacular day on Sunday, we hope you had a good weekend. One of our benchmarks as Albertans is whether or not we have snow by Halloween. Early indication is that we have another nice week ahead with no snow that will stick in the forecast, so do enjoy.
We are two weeks away from fall break in the division, and with that, comes a number of assessments and assignment submissions for students before our last day of classes on November 5. Please reach out to your child’s teacher(s), guidance department or administration should you have any questions or require additional support.
School Council Meeting:
This week is highlighted by our virtual School Council on Thursday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. The Oilers are not playing that night, so we hope to see everyone there! The agenda is attached below, and you can CLICK HERE to enter the meeting.
P/S/T Interviews:
As a reminder, our virtual Parent Teacher Interviews are on November 3 and 4 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. To access and book your timeslots, please CLICK HERE and use code 955qx.
Thank you to our students in SAIL (Students Active in Leadership) for providing fun activities this Halloween week. To those students who choose to dress up on Friday, we ask that all costumes are culturally and socially appropriate. Should you have questions about a particular costume your child may be contemplating, please do not hesitate to contact school administration ahead of time.
We wish our student athletes all the best as they begin their playoffs this week and next. We are proud of how our students have represented SAL. Most importantly, our hope is that they had a ton of fun along the way.
Have a good week everyone. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
