February 2024
Message from the Principal
Greetings Weaver Lake Families,
This month has brought us the extremes in weather. From artic cold to "spring" temperatures, I've heard some interesting conversations and feelings from our scholars about the weather the past couple of weeks. Thank you for making sure that your children are dressed for whatever kind of weather we are having.
February is "I Love to Read," month as well as Black History Month. Our library media specialist, Lesli Skarphol, and library media ESP, Myla Meier, are more than happy to assist your child in finding any kind of book whether it be adventure, mystery, graphic novel, and/or non-fiction interests. There will be many books featured in the Media Center for Black History Month as well. Just let your child's classroom teacher or the media staff know if you're looking for something special.
Also look for information about the PTO Read-a-thon Fundraiser. This helps fund books for the Media Center, STEM programming, classroom digital subscriptions, and more! Cozy up with a good book for Weaver Lake.
As always, don't hesitate to contact any member of the staff if you have compliments, questions or need support! We are here in partnership with you!
With Warm Regards,
Lena Christiansen, Principal
