Teams Prep for BEST Robotics Competition
Six of our schools will be competing in the Boosting Engineering Science and Technology (BEST) Robotics competition in October. On Saturday, teams from Sproul Junior High, Janitell Junior High, Grand Mountain, Discovery High School, Widefield High School, and Mesa Ridge High School received their robot parts and supplies to begin designing and engineering rovers. A scrimmage will be held on October 19 to test out the rovers, and then the competition will be on October 26. The competition will include autonomous mode and driver mode that allows students to get points. There will be 14 other schools from the Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver areas competing in this event.
