St Bernadette's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 4 | 11 August 2023

Good afternoon everyone,
It has been a lot of fun here at Bernie’s this week and I am very happy to report that the Bernie’s Interschool League Tag Team came home with the chocolates yesterday after a very closely contested competition. All our students gave everything they had, participated in the right spirit and had a great time! We are all very proud of them.
I would also like to congratulate all our students for competing in our Cross Country Carnival today. We have been so lucky with the weather and our students participated with enthusiasm and grit! This is one of those events that you either love or hate and I was very proud to see everyone giving it a good go! Another huge thanks to all the volunteers and staff (Particularly Mrs Watson and Mrs Bowe) for making it such a great day!
I have had many questions about my formal attire this week so for those who don’t know, we have had a panel out from Catholic Education WA this week to complete a QCESR Review of our school improvement and the principal (myself). Needless to say it has been a big week for our Staff, Leadership Team and for me personally, however, it has been a productive and informative process that will help to drive our school improvement journey in the future. A big thanks to the SAC, P&F, Father G and all our amazing staff for their honest and affirming feedback.
This week we also had our School Advisory Council Meeting on Wednesday night and our focus remains the Stage 9 build. This continues to move forward and our proposal is now submitted to CEWA for review and a feasibility assessment. I would like to thank Nathan, Wendy and all our SAC members for their support in getting this going.
Enjoy the weekend and the sunshine, I have promised a movie night tonight and I am looking forward to getting out to the hills on the bike with George and Audrey. Hopefully we can all keep them upright!
Geordie

Congratulations!
Well done to all our runners, you did an amazing job and it was lovely to see our Bernie's spirit throughout the day. Thank you to all the staff who assisted in making the day such a success and to our parent/grandparent helpers; we couldn't have done it without you!
