Support Coming Your Way!
Measuring for the frame!
A little messiness goes a long way!
3 D Paper Mache Picture Frame
Just a gentle reminder of the task given to you all at the end of school last year. Everyone is to create a picture frame to hang outside their room that is large enough to display student work in throughout the year, and a pic of yourself with a bio for the beginning of the year. Also you are to create a lesson plan to go along with this project that you could use with your kids in class. We will be having time throughout the year for activities such as this with our kids using skills learned through projects. Here is a simple recipe for the paste, 1 cup flour, 1 cup water, and 2 T. of salt to prevent molding. Landri asked why the salt helped to prevent molding, I didn't have a clue, but I bet there's a lesson in there somewhere to be learned:)....and Presley just wanted to make something, so she is paper "macheing" (is that a word?) a balloon. It's more about the process than the product at this point!
Schedules
Please look over the master schedule, and let me know if you see any glitches. I would like to start putting it into Skyward next week. The Kinder Dual Language schedule is not finished yet. Will send it out when it's ready. Notice the coverage for lunch schedules and for the PLC Wednesday.
PLC Wednesday's
I would like to give us some extra time each week to look over things that make a difference in our teaching and student learning. Check out the PLC schedule I came up with and share any glitches you see in moving forward with this plan.
Building Update
OK, everyone right after I sent the ok to enter the building Mr. Townsend sent out the off-limits for the buildings. Not sure where that came from, but I will check with Blanca and see what she says and let y'all know. Sorry, enjoy one more week of summer without thinking about school. It's going to be a hot one.
