cMountain Gorillas live on the green, volcanic slopes of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gorillas live in troops that have up to 30 gorillas. These troops are led by social structures, where the leader is a male, silverback gorilla. Gorillas stick to a vegetarian diet, consisting of roots, shoots, fruit, wild celery, tree bark and pulp. Gorilas are closely related to chimps, humans, and orangutans. Gorillas spend most of their day playing, chasing other gorillas, climbing trees, and swinging from one branch to another. Their weight consists of 300 to 485 lbs, and their height consists of 4 to 6 ft.
