3. Speaking of graduation . . .

Just a few reminders of how you can help out:

  • Please snap away! We need photos of those students who will be graduating.
  • Talk up the scholarships.
  • Encourage your students to attend graduation.

4. Third Thursday- Willimantic Main Street

EASTCONN Adult Programs will participate in the 3rd Thursday Street Festival in June, July, August, and September on Main Street in Willimantic. Derrick Jones will be coordinating volunteers to help at our table. Please consider helping out! All you need is a smile and the willingness to answer questions! Contact Derrick for more information and to volunteer.

5. And also- First Fridays in Putnam

EASTCONN Adult Programs will participate in The first Fridays Event in Putnam in June through October. The theme this year is Century of Art. As their website states, "As always, each First Fridays event will feature great live entertainment, a

variety of art vendors lining the streets, fun and interactive art projects, and

stimulating events hosted by such downtown galleries as, Arts & Framing

and the Sochor Gallery, The Empty Spaces Project Gallery, Sawmill Pottery

and Silver Circle Gallery".

Please see Meghan Hayes to volunteer for this event!

6. Did you know . . .?

Suzanne Cimochowski has been working with the Eastern CT Workforce Board to bring in new programs. As a result, EASTCONN Adult Programs will be opening up a new Customer Service IBEST in Norwich! Additionally, a Food Prep IBEST is opening up at NELC with additional time spent at QVCC. Both of these programs will start this month. Please see Suzanne for details.
