Many Hands, One Mason!!
January 2nd, 2020 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Dear Mason Families,
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds everyone well rested after our Winter Break! We have a short week this week which is awesome to help our learners (and families and staff) get back into the school routine. It has been awesome to hear all about the fun our families had over break through our learners today. You would be surprised how tired some of our learners were today! They might need a nap as soon as they get home from school today!
Before break, I had a great meeting with Chief Kosanke from the Grosse Pointe Woods Police Department about our parking lot. We will be working together to enhance our parking lot rules/procedures in the near future. I will be sending out a survey that I would like all families to complete so we can gain some information needed to enhance our parking lot procedures. Ultimately, it is our goal to continue to ensure that our learners are safe in the Mason parking lot. If you are interested in helping out in the Mason parking lot to ensure the continued safety of our students, please don't hesitate to contact the main office.
Thanks for your time and I hope you had a peaceful break,
Roy Bishop, Jr.

Waste Free Wednesday
Our Mason Green Team needs your help for yet another important green initiative we’re rolling out...Waste Free Wednesdays. Your child watched a quick two-minute video on how to reduce the amount of garbage we’re creating during lunch. We challenge all staff and students to bring a Waste Free Lunch to school every Wednesday. Here’s a link to a brief video you can watch to learn more about how to reduce or eliminate trash in your child’s lunch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPkVQSSWmpQ
Thanks for jumping on board and developing a healthy environmental mindset for our kids and our future!
