Residential Schools
A part of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit history in Canada is the reality of residential schools. Please note that I will be reading a story to each class about residential schools on November 1 instead of the Assembly. The topic is sensitive and we want to take the time to answer student's questions in a more quiet setting. Please note that your child may come home with questions. The books and the grades that they will be read to are listed for your reference.
Thank you,
Mrs. K. Antoniuk

St. John Bosco Drama: Guarding and protecting the human rights of the young and marginalized. This live performance is about a talented and kind man of faith who believed that all are welcome. As a street performer who worked his way through school, St. John Bosco tells the story of receiving a vision as a young boy, and working to fulfill that calling to rescue the poor street children struggling to survive on the streets, in the prisons, and factories by building and running what became known as Bosco Homes.
The Reading Show: 11:00 to 12:00
This is a media-FREE production. Lots of hilarious audience participation. Demonstrating to children that a little imagination goes a long way. Only simple props/costumes and a storybook are used to prove that reading is FUN and ACTIVE The show begins quietly with a story. Everyone joins in with a high energy and very silly sing-a-long. Hilarious reader’s theatre, twisted fairy tale is performed. The finale; the audience helps act out a storybook. These hilarious audience participation plays vary from year to year. “Peter Pan.” “Jack and the Beanstalk.” “Sleeping Beauty.” “Wizard of Oz.” “Beauty and the Beast.” “Red Riding Hood.” “Pinocchio”. The grown-ups will laugh along with the children Parents you will love this show, please join us.
