Artondale's Safety Letter ~ Please Read!
Library is Re-opening for the School Year.
Kelso's Wheel/Choices
We start every school year with a review of Kelso's Choices, and right now it is more important than ever for students to have strategies to help them solve problems on their own, even problems that happen at home. When students are here at school we take time to talk about how to solve your own small problems by trying 2 of Kelso’s Choices before asking an adult for help. It is also important that students understand that sometimes we have a big problem that we need to go straight to an adult to help solve, these big problems usually involve safety for themselves or others.
If you get a chance, ask your child what they remember about the Kelso's Choices Wheel, are they able to list any of the strategies that are on the wheel (without peeking)? Have your child find the Kelso Wheel that was sent home in their supply box, do they have a favorite strategy they like to use?...There are also some great items in the supply boxes to help kids keep themselves calm when they get frustrated, take a few moments as a family to discuss which items might be the most helpful.
As always, please feel free to get in touch and let me know if I can support your child or your family in any way!

LUNCHES!
We will continue Free breakfast and lunches to all children under 18. Children do not have to be present to receive a lunch. We may ask them fill out a form (no last name required) saying that they understand they are picking them up for their child/children. If there is a family that needs to pick up for a neighbor or friend that you know needs lunches please do so and let us know. We are here to help the community!
