Here is the link to our District Back-to-School Newsletter 2022-2023. Please be sure to read it as it has very important information, forms, notifications, and dates for our upcoming school year.
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
Attendance Procedures
Parents are required to do one of the three procedures written below. Please read them carefully:
- Parents/guardians may send an email to attendanceNHUF@boyertownasd.org from the email address of the parent/guardian on file with the district by 9:00 AM on any day that their child will be absent or tardy. This form of communication will not need a phone call or follow-up handwritten note.
- Parents/guardians may use the district website/app and fill out the absence note by 9:00 AM. This form of communication will not need a phone call or follow-up handwritten note.
- Parents/guardians may call the attendance line 610-754-9599 by 9:00 AM on any day that their child will be absent or tardy. However, absences must be followed up with a handwritten parent note or doctor's note within three days of the student's return to school. Failure to submit the appropriate note within three days will result in the absence being coded as unlawful, and this coding cannot be reversed even if a note is handed in after the three day window. Once a student has received three unlawful absences, a truancy elimination plan may be enacted. This plan could lead to a citation from the District Magistrate.
Educational trip forms must be completed and submitted for approval at least 2 days prior to the trip. Trip forms are available in the school office as well as on the BASD website.
Security and Sign in Procedures
When entering the building PLEASE DO NOT hold the door for other visitors/volunteers. They must buzz in and state their purpose for entering the building. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attention Grade 4 and 5 Parents
Hello 4th and 5th grade families!
During the last week your child saw a demonstration about joining the school band and learning to play a band instrument. The students were given a form that contains important details and dates about the band program in the Boyertown Area School District. The form can be found by clicking on this link: https://www.boyertownasd.org/site/handlers/filedownload.ashx?moduleinstanceid=11307&dataid=18129&FileName=BASD%20Elementary%20Band%20Registration%20Information--2022.pdf
It includes links to the band registration website and our instrument rental partners websites.
Please feel free to email me at kmumie@boyertownasd.org if you have any further questions.

COVID-19 Information: If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please fill out the COVID-19 attendance form found on the BASD website in the attendance folder. Students will need to isolate at home for 5 full days. If your child is symptomatic, the first day of symptoms is considered day 0. If your child is not symptomatic, the test date is considered day 0. Students may return on day 6 but must remain masked at school through the end of day 10.
Physical & Dental Forms: All state mandated Kindergarten and 3rd grade private dental forms and all Kindergarten private physical exam forms are due now. If you have an upcoming appointment, please notify the health room of the appointment and we will make note of the date in your child’s record.
Medication Information: If your child requires prescription or over-the-counter medication while at school, a medication authorization form (found on the BASD website) must be completed by your physician. Once completed, please submit the paperwork, and then contact the health room to schedule an appointment to drop off your child’s medication. Prescription medications must be in an original pharmacy labeled container. Over-the-counter medication must be in original packaging. Please refer to the BASD website for more information.
Returning Paperwork: Please return any health room forms (Physical, Dental, Medication) via email if possible. You can scan and email the original document or email a photograph from your phone to either ewismer@boyertownasd.org or ekovach@boyertownasd.org
