Free and Reduced Lunch Eligibility for Families Impacted by the Government Shutdown
When a household experiences a change in economic circumstances, the household may submit a meal application based on the change in circumstances. Furloughed employees or employees that are required to work without pay as a result of the federal government shutdown are considered to be experiencing a change in economic circumstances. Please remember that once eligibility is determined, that determination remains in effect for the remainder of the school year unless an updated application is submitted.
Texas Success Initiative Assessment Information
TSI or the Texas Success Initiative is a college readiness standard that must be met by each student who will attend a Texas public college or university. Students who have not met the TSI standard prior to college admission may be required to take developmental math, reading, or writing classes and pay college tuition dollars for these non-college classes.
Lago Vista ISD would like every LVHS senior who graduates to have met these standards prior to graduation. TSI can be met through scores on SAT and ACT and also by meeting score standards on the TSI test. Seniors should contact the campus counselor for additional information. Please contact the individual college or university to see what tests are required and/or accepted.
*Arrangements to take the TSI assessment can be made through Austin Community College.
Join PTA! Two ways - online at www.joinpta.org or by check (made to LVHS PTA). Students who are members each year of high school are eligible for scholarships their senior year!

Attendance Matters.
Our schoolwide attendance goal for this year is 97%. Our state funding is based on the percentage of students at school at 10:15 am every day. Higher attendance rate = more money for resources for your student.
For students who exceed our 96% goal, we are planning some more exciting rewards this year, such as a movie in the PAC, Kona Ice, and exam exemptions!
For students who miss school, here is some very important attendance information:
3 or more unexcused absences in a 4 week period - warning letter sent home and phone call from the principal.
10 or more unexcused absences in a 6 month period - truancy charges are filed. Parent, student and school administrator will be summoned to appear in truancy court.
Our campus goal is to reach 97% attendance each day.
Thanks for your support!
