Kings in the Gupta empire owned the huge copper, gold,and iron mines. With the gold and copper metalworkers made coins. The coins were engraved with Gupta rulers. Pictures on the coins represented famous things t hat the rulers did. They used the iron to build great things like the iron puller called meharauli. The pillar is made of solid iron and weighs 13 thousand pounds and is 25ft tall. It is engraved with history about the accomplishments of a Gupta empire. The pillar is almost rust free after about 1 thousand 6 hundred years.
