Assemblies - Wednesday 9/21

We'll have two 10 minute assemblies in the gym to introduce the new PBIS ticket system to the students on Wednesday. K-2 will come at 9:25 and 3-5 will come at 2:55. Specialists, please plan to attend the assemblies and take your 2nd grade students with you at the end of the assembly in the morning and your 5th grade students at the end of the assembly in the afternoon. We realize this is on the day where you have your grade level meetings. Scheduling was challenging for the folks leading the assembly, as is often the case with all of the year round schedules we have in the building! We do ask that homeroom teachers be in the assembly. We'll keep it brief and we believe it's well worth the time. Thanks y'all!

Photo & Video Release

Just a reminder to check your class's cumulative folders to see who has signed photo release forms on file. A couple of teachers recently checked and had 4-6 students in each class that had denied permission. With social media being utilized so much more frequently it's important that we take this into consideration.

Garden News!

Some of the cotton is ready to be harvested! If you would like your students to harvest a little of the cotton, go right ahead. It's simple, just break off the dried and open cotton boll and remove the cotton. Your students can stretch the cotton and find the seeds inside. Just be sure to leave some for other classes!

Fall is almost here and it's bound to cool off at some point! If you would like to incorporate the gardens into your lessons and get your students outside, contact us and we can help in whatever way you need!
