About Walker Elementary

Dear Walker Families,
Dear Walker Families,
We really appreciate your attendance for student-led conferences! We are so excited about our partnership with you in your child's learning this year, and I know your child/children had wonderful work to share with you! If you have not met with your child's teacher, please contact the teacher or the school as soon as possible to make those arrangements.
Very important reminder---students that are not in the building by the 7:45 am tardy bell must be walked into the office to be signed in. Car drop-off times are 7:15 to 7:45, and our school day begins promptly at 7:45. Supervision of students by Walker staff ends at that 7:45 time, so students must be escorted in the building if tardy. Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
Please mark your calendars for the Walker Walk/Bike to School Day on Wednesday, October 2. Please encourage your child to wear a Walker shirt that day. Local media will be in attendance to share this exciting day with our community! This event promotes physical activity, safe pedestrian and biking skills, and shared time with community leaders, parents, and children! Please look for flyers in Monday folders!
September is quickly coming to a close (how is that possible??), so please be discussing with your child our October character focuses of initiative and cooperation. Please keep promoting responsibility, our focus of September!
Popcorn Day is this coming Friday, September 27! Thank you to all of our popcorn popper volunteers! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you,
Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org
Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org
