Join me in the tech lab for some less formal workshops to explore technology uses for you and your students. These smaller group workshops will allow for exploration time and lesson planning discussions.

Google Sheets for Data Collection: Fri. Dec. 2

Using QR Codes: Mon. Dec. 5

Seesaw Digital Portfolios: Tues. Dec. 6 and Fri. Dec. 9

Creating Nearpod lessons: Thurs. Dec. 8

Technology trainings are designed to help classroom teachers better integrate instructional technology. Participation by classified paraeducators is also encouraged in cases where the technology training is relevant to the para’s job assignment and participation is recommended by the classroom teacher.

HESD Email Exploratory Committee

Would you like to help guide the future of email in the Hueneme Elementary School District? HESD Technology Department will be evaluating options for employee email and would like input from users across our district. We are forming a committee to explore upgrades for our email system.

We would like to get participants from a variety of sites and job descriptions to learn about what options exist and help determine the course that the district takes. If you are interested in joining us, please click the button below and complete the form.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN HOUR OF CODE

To participate in Hour of Code, designate one hour sometime in the week of Dec. 5-11 to introduce the idea of coding to students. Click this button to get some information to help you get started-- lessons reach students from kinder to 8th grade.

This good looking group of teachers from Haycox, Sunkist, Hathaway, Green and Blackstock (and more from neighboring districts) learned how to use the code.org curriculum in our classrooms to give all students the opportunity to learn computer science. Ask them about it!
