Thank You!!

Thank you to the entire Veterans Day Committee. What an amazing program! This committee met multiple times before and after school to make this such a special day for our guests. A big thank you to Laura Huffman for a great job chairing this event for the first time, as well as Barbara Holsome for making sure our veterans were entertained beautifully by our Rockin' Robison Singers!

Thank you to Christi Moran for taking on the task of ensuring ALL of our students could view the program. She made sure the technology was ready, and she served as "camera woman". Great job, Christy!

Thank you to Sally Hall. Sally always takes the extra time to make sure our staff events go off without a hitch. She has made multiple runs to Sam's and other stores to get our supplies (think, aluminum pans for Friendsgiving, sodas and water for treat days, orange snacks, paper goods, donuts for early morning meetings, etc.). Monday we'll have a wonderful Friendsgiving, but know that on Friday evening, Sally was setting up the workroom and lounge to make sure it was ready for us. We love you, Sally!!

Student Awards

Thursday, November 16 is the day that students should be given their awards which are spirit sticks that are collected and displayed on our Robison key chains. Only students new to Robison will receive a keychain (all kindergarten students and all who were not here last year). If a student needs to replace their keychain at any time, the cost is $3.00. We are hopeful that the order of keychains will be here in time, but if it is not, you may give your students their spirit sticks, and they can attach them to the keychain when it arrives.

It is important for Diana and Steffani to know when you are presenting awards since parents of the Star Students are invited to attend. Please remember to call those parents and invite them, and let them know the awards will be presented in the classroom (this is different from last year). We are only able to accommodate parents of the Star Students. For this reason, I do not advertise when student awards take place. Please wait until after you have presented the awards to let parents know the awards are coming home. All parents will be able to attend the end-of-year awards presentation on the last day of school (Kindergarten-4th grade) or on May 29 (5th grade).

November/December Twitter Challenge #RESholidaybingo

Congratulations to our October Twitter Challenge winners: Stacie Moreland, Jennifer Vargas, Emily Gunn, Connie Kubis, Christi Moran, and Kelly Oetken

This next challenge is similar to our Summer Selfie Bingo Challenge. This is a Holiday Bingo Challenge. You will receive one drawing slip per bingo (up to 5 bingos) and 6 drawing slips if you get a blackout! When you complete a challenge on the bingo card, you'll need to post a picture (or video) of you completing the task AND a picture of the bingo card with that square marked off. Save the picture below to use in your posts. If you need help with how to mark the card or how to post the picture, there are several staff members that can help--just ask! Have fun with this one!! Be sure to tag your tweets with #RESholidaybingo

Monday, November 13--Picture Retakes

Tuesday, November 14--Papa John's Night (PTO fundraiser--order pizza from Papa John's and 20% will go to the school if you mention Robison)

Wednesday, November 15--Writing Committee Planning (8 am- 12 pm). Teachers on this committee have been notified. The committee will work to address our concerns for writing and to begin the development of a school-wide writing plan. Subs will be provided.

Tuesday, December 12-- Family Night at Holiday Shop (5 to 7 pm)

$1 for Crazy Hair on November 28

On Tuesday, November 28, all students will be able to participate in Crazy Hair Day by contributing $1 to our scholarship fund. The scholarship fund will benefit a former Robison Rocket (or even 2 to 3 students) who will be graduating this year. We will have other activities this year to raise money for this cause. Last year we raised $2400! Please remind your parents about this in your weekly blast, and feel free to participate! :)

Upcoming Hoedowns (November 30 & December 1)

Information about the upcoming hoedowns was shared in the November Rocket Register. Please help us communicate this event to our parents. It is new this year, and it replaces our traditional western day dancing. Please plan to come watch your students dance for at least a portion of their large group time. They are always so proud to show off their dancing for their teachers.

Personal Leave Requests

Please be sure to complete a personal leave request (attached below) prior to taking personal leave. If you are wanting a particular sub, you are responsible for contacting the person and then indicating on the form that they have accepted the job. Sally will then be able to put that sub in for you. Please do not suggest someone for Sally to contact. This takes too much time for her to do this for each person. If you do not secure your own sub, Sally will put in your job and it will be open for anyone to pick up. The first five people to have read this far and then email me will receive a jeans pass.
