Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-Up Reminders for Car Riders
- There are TWO drop-off locations in the morning, in front of the school and near the entrance by the gym. Both areas are manned by staff members. Please consider using the back as well, in order to keep traffic moving.
- Please do not drop-off students in the front parking lot. This causes additional congestion for parents needing to park, and is also a safety concern for students.
- If you would like to help your child with his/her backpack and give hugs in the mornings, we ask that you park rather than use the drop-off line. Parents should stay in cars, so we can keep the line moving.
- For drop-off and pick-up, please make sure you pay attention and pull all the way to the front of the line.
Thank you for your helping in ensuring morning arrival and dismissal are as safe and efficient as possible. We appreciate you!
Bobcat Mathletes - Registration Now Open!!
Registration is now open for Bobcat Mathletes, a weekly club that fosters math skills and logical thinking through game–based play and competition. Space is very limited - there will be 6 boys and 6 girls chosen from each grade from 2nd to 5th grade.
Parent volunteers are essential for Bobcat Mathletes success. Students will be chosen on order of application, with priority given to Mathletes whose parents can volunteer at least 8 times, as well as to prior Mathletes (for details, see the recent Peachjar flyer).
There is a $100 registration fee to cover games, tournament fees, t-shirts, snacks and supplies.
If you have questions, please email Kendra Wright at kwrightaustin@gmail.com.
Watch D.O.G.S. - We Need You!
We are excited to kick-off our Watch D.O.G.S. program! This is an amazing program where dads commit to helping in our school for at least one day. You will receive a schedule that includes spending time in your child's class, helping in the cafeteria and playground, and helping in other classrooms throughout the day. Our kids love it!
To learn more about this program, there are two events to choose from. Pizza Night will be on September 4th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. This event is for students and their dads. The Bagel Breakfast is on September 5th from 7:20 - 7:45 am and is for dads only. Students will need to stay with their classroom teachers. You only need to attend one event. The same information will be shared at both sessions. If you cannot attend either event , the necessary information to sign up for a day is included below.
In order to have enough food, please use the links below to let us know that you will be attending.
Please CLICK HERE to reserve your spot at the Kick-Off Event-Pizza Night, or for the Bagel Breakfast
If you need a shirt, they can be ordered at: www.fathers.com/dogstore. We ask that you wear a Watch D.O.G.S. t-shirt so that you will be recognized on campus. If you don't purchase a shirt, you will need to wear a Watch D.O.G.S. sticker that we will give you when you arrive on your service day.
CLICK HERE to sign up to serve as a Watch D.O.G.S. for a day on campus.
Thank you for your consideration! Our goal is to build this program to include even more dads this year. We hope you can join us! If you have any questions, please email Courtney Trimmer, our counselor, at trimmerc@ltisdschools.org.
