Edmond Doyle News 5-20-2016
WOW! It is so hard to believe that this school year is really over!! We love summer vacation, but it is always hard to say goodbye to students that will be leaving us to go to Parker or to other schools. Our fourth graders have been an amazing group of students and they are very hard to let go! Any school that gets them next year is very fortunate. They have been wonderful leaders, good citizens, and just pleasant children to love. Our prayers for their success as they continue to be amazing on their journeys through life!
Thanks to Kal-El Shelton, Miss McAlester's Outstanding Teen 2016 for raising over $1000 to help Mrs. Gilbertson's special education classroom. We were thrilled and surprised at her generous contribution. She is an amazing young lady.
Camryn Sanders, Miss McAlester, surprised us with some books for our students. We are so proud of Camryn and wish her the best of luck at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. We all think she should win!!
A big thanks to Kenny Harris, Reece Dawson's grandpa, for bringing us bounce houses on the last day of school. The children had so much fun on them and it really made their last day of school fun! His generosity was such a blessing!
Our third graders did an amazing job on their OCCT reading scores. We are anxiously awaiting the news of our math scores and our 4th grade reading scores. Our students are fortunate to have loving, excellent teachers and staff supporting them. They are also blessed to have loving families that encourage them to be their best!
Another thanks to our Hispanic families for the best CInco de Mayo lunch celebration we have ever had!! The food was delicious and the thoughtfulness behind it all was the biggest blessing of all!! Muchas gracias!!
Also, thank you to everyone that sent sweet notes, gifts, and treats from students during the last days of school. Your thoughtfulness means the world to us. We appreciate your kindness! Teacher appreciation week lasts for nine months at Edmond Doyle!!
We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer. Enjoy your time with your children and we will see you next year. Watch for enrollment times in July!
Friends are as companions on a journey who ought to aid each other to persevere in the road to a happier life. --Pythagoras
