The Hoot Owl

WEEK OF APRIL 13TH

NOTE FROM MRS. ELDRIDGE

Parents,

We hope that you are all doing well and getting in a routine of school, fun, and relaxation. These are hard times and we understand that. A couple of updates that you will need to know as we move forward -

*Below is a PDF created by the district that explains the district grading guidelines as we move forward. You will notice on assignments for the week of April 13 specific assignments have an asterisk beside them. These are the most important assignments and your child will receive a grade for them. We encourage you to return those completed to your child's teacher electronically as per your teacher's request (SeeSaw, Dojo, Canvas, Email, etc...) While only a few assignments per week will be graded, the rest of the work is just as important to ensure that your child is obtaining and mastering the skills taught during the week.

*Electronic communication is our best option at this time. I want to take a moment and encourage those of you who have not responded to your child's teacher, registered for a SeeSaw account, logged on to Dojo, etc... do to so today.

Remember, if you have any concerns, questions or needs, please reach out to your child's teacher or email us at contactore@conroeisd.net. We will be happy to get back to you and help as we can.

A NOTE FROM THE NURSE...

Hi Oak Ridge Families,

Just wanted to share this video from the Surgeon General on how to quickly make yourself a face mask with supplies you have at home. This is not intended to replace a mask needed for those caring for people who are ill, but to provide extra protection for the average person as recommended by the CDC. It is also not intended to replace social distancing.

#wearamaskandstayaway!

It’s a great day to be an Oak Ridge Owl

Take care,

Nurse Sims
