SUMMER SCHOOL 2019 UPDATE

Due to the fact that we did not meet the minimum enrollment of 15 students for either the summer US Government or summer PE4 offerings, we will be cancelling both of these class offerings in the 2019-20 Curriculum Guide.

Students who chose either of these offerings will be meeting with their guidance counselor to select other course options for the 2019-20 school year with no course change fee.

SEEKING FUTURE MENTORS! Attention Sophomores & Juniors!

Are you a sophomore or junior and would like to be a mentor next year? Did you miss the March 20th meeting? No need to worry! Attached you will find the letter that explains the entire application and selection process.

All applications will be available via a special google classroom. You will submit your applications there no later than Friday, April 5th. If you have questions, feel free to stop by room 216 and talk to Mrs. Littner

2019-2020 MENTOR PROGRAM LETTER

All applications will be due by Friday, April 5th.

If you have questions, email Mrs. Littner at llittner@marian.com

BACK THE BLUE Memorial Bracelet Fundraiser BEGINS APRIL 1st!

Our Marian Central students are hosting a special Memorial Bracelet Fundraiser in memory of Deputy Jacob Keltner to raise money to benefit the Keltner family! The bracelet will be black with blue lettering - one side reads "BACK THE BLUE" and the other side reads "3-7-19" (Deputy Keltner's End of Watch)

Each bracelet will cost $2.00 and the money raised will be delivered to the Keltner family via our local police station.

Please give generously and let's show the Keltner family the true spirit of our school!

We will be selling the bracelets BEFORE and AFTER school in both COMMONS areas - while supplies last!

MCC PARENT ASSOCIATION NEEDS YOU! (Specifically, April 4th at 7:00 pm!)

Our next Parent Association meeting will be Thursday, April 4th at 7 o'clock in the Annex.

We will be going over the plans for Prom and Graduation so please join us as we make these occasions memorable for our kids!

DID YOU KNOW....there are only 64 days left until GRADUATION? To help keep this Parent Association momentum rolling, we really need to train the NEXT-GEN LEADERSHIP! Our students and faculty need you!

The more parents we have that help lead this wonderful organization, the more impactful we can be for Marian Central and all the teachers and students who call it home.

College Counselor's Corner: Mr. Stamatakos’ Guide to Visiting Colleges

For the most part, a typical campus visit consists of a meeting with someone from the Admission Office or sitting in on a group presentation about the college and a tour of campus. The whole experience can take anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours, after which students and their families move on to their next destinations. So how, then, can students and their families really get a sense of how they feel about a particular school in such a short space in time?

Mr. Stamatakos’ College Visit Guide might be able to help…

2019 PROM FORMAL ATTIRE GUIDE

Have a dress you're not quite sure about? Snap a pic and email it over to Mrs. Loy! cloy@marian.com She tries to respond very quickly!

A NOTE ABOUT PROM PHOTOS!

This year, DeWane Studio will be on hand AT THE PROMENADE from 4:30 pm - 5:35 pm taking formal portraits of our students! In the past, we have enjoyed DeWane photography AT the prom venue, but this year we are changing it up for a very good reason! We are thrilled to share that Mr. Jim DeWane (a proud MC Alum!) will be attending his son's wedding rehearsal and dinner the night of our Prom - so it turns out, he will find himself on the other side of the camera for a change! Marian Central is thrilled to extend our congratulations to Mr. DeWane's family as they celebrate this wonderful occasion!
